Family therapy

“Family pathology rolls from generation to generation like a fire in the woods taking down everything in its path until one person, in one generation, has the courage to turn and face the flames. That person brings peace to his ancestors and spares the children that follow.”

— Terry Real.

Currently, I am conducting family therapy sessions via Telehealth, mostly. To assess for in-office meetings, please contact me directly.

Family Therapy is a powerful resource that helps nurture, heal, change, transform and/or develop a healthy way of interaction between family members.

It is designed to identify and transform family dynamics and patterns that contribute to undesirable or damaging behaviors, misunderstandings and conflict among family members.

Some of these sessions may be held as a group, in pairs, or one on one. Each individual participating in family therapy is given the opportunity to define their own goal(s).

Some common issues where family therapy has proven to be very helpful are: blended family issues,  impending divorce, addictions, affairs, cultural differences, adoptions, language barriers, school related issues (i.e.; bullying, poor grades, isolation),  incarcerations, trauma, new baby,  in-laws, mental health or physical health issues experienced by one or more members of the family, financial issues, grief.

I am also experienced in conducting Substance Abuse interventions. Pricing for these vary, based on number of meetings, so please contact me to discuss.

Sessions cost: $225/50 min, $270 per 60 min, $405/90 min, etc.

Accepted forms of payment: Cash, check or credit card (3% surcharge for cc payments). I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Sessions that are cancelled within 48 hours or less, are not charged if rescheduled for the same week.
